Trickster starts
off with George talking to his friend Sidney, recalling a visit
from a bogus gas official who took his life savings. He remembers
his war years, his hopes and dreams. The person that called on
him didn't just take away his savings, he took his pride and
self respect. George then gets advice from the local Police and
with
a clever routine George and Sidney practice the doorstep procedure. The audience is then taken to the place where the bogus callers
meet. We see three callers exchanging names and working out their
next crime, we even see them trying to sell items
to members of the audience including Mr Floggit
the
very dodgy antiques
dealer. The bogus callers then sing the catchy Bogeyman March..... One of the callers then tries to call on George but he is now
'wised up' following the police advise, he rejects the attempts
to con him again and calls the police, the caller is arrested.
The show has a very uplifting ending with the cast and audience
singing "Don't take me in". Trickster lasts 45mins and with an optional 30 minute sing along
afterwards, makes the whole experience a very positive one for
all involved and one not to be missed........
